Omg.
Someone let mother nature know we get her point. Its been hot as...well you know. Like heat indexes of over 100. I can deal with it for a few days, however long stretches are not going over well. Our A/C is working overtime baby! And not a drop of rain , consider us so lucky! We no longer have green lawns(except for my parents who water their grass), its nice and brown. And Prickly. And yucky.
So we've been rotating, Swimming at grandmas house..then air conditioning. Some days its just too hot to even venture outside. And some people in other states are receiving TOO MUCH rain. Can't mother nature balance us out a bit? huh?
In other news, Jax got his stitches out of his foot this past Friday. He was such a trooper and never even flinched. So now hes got butterfly type bandages over it and some cream to help heal it the rest of the way. But he can finally wear shoes now and swim. He had a long 10 day stretch without swimmnig and quick 5 minute showers/baths to get clean. Stitches are for winter! Not summer!

our mini vaca
Our mini vacation ended this past wednesday. We kinda ended it on a bumpy note. We had been staying at a waterpark/resort about an hour and a half from home. My youngest, Jax and I were on our way into our room to fetch our shoes from swimmnig to go decorate cookies. I opened the door towards me(the outside door) and heard a bloody scream. His poor little foot had gotten caught under the door and sliced a huge gaping wound into it.
So off to the urgent care we went(after some first aid) and 5 stitches later we were done there. He did very well. Very little crying other than at first. Unfortunately there was no more swimming or getting wet for him but he did very well with this.
Oddly enough when my oldest was 3, at the same resort, same time of year, he recieved 5 stitches as well. Boys are just toughies aren't they?
More hair dye please...........

some summer fun
We went to this thing in another town over where you can watch planes come and go, sit on tractors and see flight for life, which is the helicopter for trauma issues. We go every year and the kids really love it.

Summer fun
- we had some outside fun about 2 weekends ago when the weather took a turn for the better and it was HOT out. We put our hair up and got out the bubbles, the firetruck that sprays water, the bikes, big wheels, chalk, scooters, you name it!

so after a long weekend last weekend, we took saturday and hit up four parks and then toured the marsh education area near town. it was a perfect day out on saturday. Above is my youngest of course without his shoes. He will NEVER keep his shoes on.
This little park we go to has this bridge my kids love to run across. I love this picture because the older two look deep in conversation as my youngest now has shoes on and continues running around like nutso.
Bella deep in thought while swinging. She loves the swings and could spend all day there.
Jax posing for me, "Say cheese buddy!" and he humored me for a slipt second.
The two boys at the marsh after we took a short break. Yes I dress these two alike, because they both like the same things(mario bros) and I can't match anyone to Bella as the boys refuse to wear pink or ruffles.
Look out the "telescope" into the marsh . This was one of their favorite activities of all three kids.
we even made crafts for earth day which was right up the girlys alley. She loves herself some crafts.

our update, I know its been a while!
(Last years Easter photo!!!!!!)The above picture is today, obviously. It was a beautiful Easter Sunday. We went to Grandmas house(my mom and dad's house) for Easter lunch consisting of Ham and lots of yummy other things...we were all so full of good food! And then we did an easter egg hunt in the yard while the sun was out and it was beautiful. Although I have to say its NOT beautiful out now. Nope. Its super windy and overcast now. Booo weather. We did our yearly Easter picture. It is always fun to see how children do NOT cooperate. These remember are not all my children.
The eggs the children dyed at grandmas house. I love the colors.
My two boys are obviously having a very serious game of Mario. This is how I often find them.
Last but not least, Bella turned FIVE just recently. She's really excited to be five, however she does believe this means she must mother everyone...and by "mothering" I nicely mean boss even more...Because obviously being the only girl out of the bunch of boys in this house, she must be in control at all times.
