our easter weekend

As I stated in my last entry, my oldest had a choir spring concert, and it looked like this outside. I was not pleased to say the least. Everything else was cancelled but the show

MUST go on. It was a really nice concert but still...snow? in april? and ice? I"ll pass.

This is a picture of my oldest dressed up for the spring concert. My middle daughter felt the need to also dress up. My third born was going to stay home. And not cooperate with the picture.

Us girls, posing for a picture.

Dying easter eggs. My husband found these "no spill" kits at Walmart. You put the egg in and take it out in the same container without spilling...much... it was worth the 4 dollars.

The kids dying eggs with my father in law. He visits quite often and does the fun stuff with the kiddos. Which is totally ok with me.

Very nice eggs, huh? My youngest tried to be adult like and carry the carton to the fridge for us. Luckily they are hard boiled..lol. Cause they rolled all over the floor!

Then we had our "easter" at my mom's house on Saturday. The following picture is of my three kiddos and my two nieces who are utterly beautiful, in my opinion. This is one of the better pictures. We took quite a few trying to get all 5 to look decent..lol.

The Easter Bunny left baskets at home this morning, full of kites, bubbles, chocolate rabbits and other fun things. The kids really enjoy bubbles. We have alot of bubble stuff at our house actually. A little more doesn't hurt.

Easter aftermath. I'm NEVER buying easter grass again. I've had to vaccumm like 5 times today and I swear that the poor vaccumm was hollerin at me the last time because of all the easter grass it kept finding. When I did laundry today I found more easter grass in the dryer! ugh!

Then after the easter baskets and the wolfing down of the candy, we went to the park to play and try to fly the kites that nice easter bunny left .

We also took a walk while we were there, and found this beautiful bridge to take some pretty serious pictures on.

We also did some running, jumping, racing up and down the bridge. Just glad all that snow and ice had melted and parted us some sun as well.

Well, at least all three stood in one spot for a picture this time.

This is my dirt magnet. He hates being dirty, but it always finds him.

Then we came home and found out there were some pretty big puddles of water/mud in the back. You know how kids and puddles are...They happily splashed for like an hour.

Ran and splashed....and ran some more.

Thursdays thoughts

1. The snow is melting from Tuesdays springs storm. I'm not sure what Mother Nature has up her butt, but I"d like her to remove it. Just because she's upset doesn't mean she has to unleash like 2-3 inches of snow/rain/freezing rain/hail on us in one night. Especially after the wonderful weather we HAD been having. But such is Wisconsin for you. One weekend tornado warnings, the next winter weather warning...

2. We did our easter basket shopping tonight. Actually we went today the husband and I , and ended up kinda having this fight about things and ended up turning around and coming home WITHOUT anything. We thankfully did resolve it and ended up finding some excellent goodies, Kites, bubble wands, chocolate bunnies,....etc, you get the picture. Did you know they make edible easter grass now? huh. What? you're NOT supposed to let anyone injest the regular kinds?lol...

3. My 2 year old napped in the car today, on the first trip for easter basket stuff(aka the fight). and when he naps, he's a handful at night time. Now that he's in a toddler bed, he feels the need to excercise his rights to move freely throughout the house. He excercises his rights to find other children in their beds and cause chaos. He excercises his rights to try to sneak past one or another parent here to just run around and reek havoc. He's always excercising his right to say "no!" when we nicely ask him to get back in bed. Then he becomes beligerant and causes much noise, that we have to take him into the living room until he can become quieter and then go back to his bedtime routine. Honestly, he doesn't nap often. But he's done so twice this week and tonights been no picnic.

4. I"m hungry, but I don't want to run to the grocery store...again. I've been there once today, and it was filled with pre-easter hell raising shoppers. The kind that wait until last minute to do their holiday meal shopping and therefore run through the store, cranky and apparently forgetting their manners. This is why I like going during the day, when these people are usually at work. But today? nope. And lines are long and this frustrates people even more. Or if its going to snow OMG RUN TO THE GROCERY STORE AND BUY AS MUCH AS YOU CAN. Its wisconsin, this happens all the time. People panic and its quite stupid.

5. We bought "Tangled" tonight. Popped it in the dvd player(gah I almost said VCR!) in our room, got the kids blankets and pillows and snacks and let them lounge on our bed. Until my 2 and 4 year old ticked eachother off enough that a war broke loose and I had to say things like "Get your toes out of your sisters hair" and "no don't slap him, I don't care if he slapped you first and I didn't see"...and "What did I just say? " and "I'm going to take this movie back to the store if you don't lay down" to which my 4 year old says "but its night time and the store is closed".....ok..you win..lol. Outsmarted by a 4 year old. Needless to say, I've caught a few glimpses of the movie and I saw her hit the prince/guy with a frying pan, then the next time I peeked at it, she was shoving prince/guy into the wardrobe, then the next time, she was hitting said prince/guy with a vase. I"m like..what? what is she doing this for, poor guy? then I forgot to watch the rest . But Kudos to disney for bringing in the violence????

6. I'm still watching "army wives" on netflix. I'm quite addicted to that. After my monsters- i mean children are sleeping soundly I go out to the living room and watch this. And usually text my friends I haven't spoken to since that morning. We have our morning text chats and our evenings. lol. I have to turn the ringer down on my texts cause my husband can hear them in our room where he's playing online and he gets annoyed.

7. I craved pancakes all day. ALL DAY. I'm not sure why thats important to write down tonight, but we just had them this weekend. I"m also craving sour cream and onion potatoe chips. If I do make a store run, it will be out to the gas station, where they have really good chips, their own "brand" and really good. But I dont feel like running out and my husband probably don't either...so either I"ll whine enough and he'll go or I'll just do it cause he won't break down and go...ugh .

This is what my front windshield of the car looked like going to my son's spring concert on Tuesday. I am not very pleased with THIS.

My weekend in google image search

I decided to do a weekend review in google image search. Sounded like fun!

I've been spraying Lysol since all three kiddos have some cold going on. They hate the smell.

The older two kids got to go see "Rio" with Grandma this weekend.

They really liked it and wanted to go back for more!

I did some toy purging this weekend as well. Got rid of some of

the "baby" toys, and sent them to grandmas. Got rid of junky older toys in trash. My husband made us pancakes this weekend!
I had to buy more cough medicine. I hate buying it, because I'm picky

I like to read ingredient lists and look at everything. I love mucinex but it

is really expensive!

LOL, While I was googling my image for "hair shaver" this also appeared.

This is a BACK SHAVER. Its almost scary but I had to show it off.
We shaved my youngests hair today. Hes got naturally curly hair,

and he likes to put things in his hair that don't belong in normal hair

(like lotion), and for the summer I figured short would be great. I think he

kinda looks odd. He has a veiny head.lol.

Naughty momma, I hid these, and ate some

while I watched my tv show.lol
This is what I've been watching on netflix lately! I'm only on

season one.

Wednesday is closer to the weekend!

The weather has been absolutely BEAUTIFUL here . Over the weekend we were blessed with good weather and spent much of that time outside. We were forecasted to get really bad storms, and a record breaking outbreak of tornadoes, however thankfully for us, they went north a bit and all we really got were nasty looking skies and some rain. So we spent some time outside , and then also at a park near my oldest's school. My kids love being outside. I'm afraid my youngest somehow, though he HATES being dirty, is a dirt magnet. Go figure huh? This week we've also been blessed with more beautiful weather, so we've been hanging out outside. We DO live in an apartment, however, our "backyard " behind our garage is where we play. theres blacktop and grass, and our neighbor's dog LOVES our kids so she comes out to visit as well. However, the weatherman has said now the warmth will go away probably for the rest of the week! Boooo weatherman! Rain/snow(yup) mix to come and rainy and cold. great. Just as the kids are USED to playing outside again? come on!
Here is my daughter at story hour last week.

She made a rocketship, after a book they read.

My youngest blowing bubbles this weekend while it was nice out. This is what happens when your 2 year old lotions his hair. yup. Twice. ugh. My super sleepy younger two after a car ride. Of course my dirt magnet is shiny from the lady at the bank who gave him a sucker.

My older two,(it depends what grouping they're in..lol. cause sometimes Bellas in the "younger

two and sometimes she's in the older two) at the park this weekend before the rain started

Saturdays post

well I was going to post this later, but here in the cheese state, we're supposed to get really bad weather so I figured I"d write it before all chaos broke loose..or you know what hits the fan. Today turned out really nicely. We went to my mom's house while they were gone for a while to play outside. We live in an apartment and most of it is muddy behind our garage so I took them to my parents house to play in non-mudded areas for a while. It was in the 40's there and really windy at my mom's because she lives on top of a hill. We ened up going inside her house for a while whilt the kids fought...er I mean played. The dog and I cuddled on the couch for a while. By the time they came home, the temperature had improved so we played outside a bit. I had to run to the grocery store and I did it sans kids. Sometimes its nice just going to places like grocery stores alone. But I was gonna pick up ice cream AND I FORGOT. Thinking about going back once the kids are in bed. Maybe..I stil have to put the van in the garage before long, because otherwise the storms will do damage. That's how bad they're talking about. So I can't forget to do that, but I probably will. Because I tend to forget those important things...and other things like doctors appointments, school appointments, etc. I"m not sure what went wrong with my brain, but after 3 kids, certain information will not stay in my brain. Tonight after suppoer we took the kids out back to play. Not more than outside 15 minutes, Jax fell in one of the puddles of mud. Like belly flopped in it and I laughed really loud. He came up to me, wiping his hands on my pants and taking his shirt off, and going RIGHT back to playing. So some of my pictures have him half naked. Like that's anything really different around here???? So most of my children now are really tired from playing outside. Jax has once again fallen asleep not in his bed. Last night he fell asleep on the couch next to Jace, who was playing wii. Tonight its on the floor in Jace's room while Jace watches Big Time Rush. I'm actually tired myself but I'll probably read my kindle once the kids are all asleep.

Randomness

This is a collection of some of the favorite things in my house. This

is my tart warmer. I bought it at walmart. I love it . It looks messy but how else do you get

the old wax out of it? I clean it once in a while.

This is where I dump said wax. Why? where else do you put the old wax?

It gets hidden away when not in use. My favorite blanket. My mother in law made this for me over 4 years ago. I brought it to the hospital when I gave birth to my daughter. I use it always.
II love stars....can't you tell? They're my favorite. I found these stars for like

3 bucks a piece on clearance at a local craft store! WIN!
I love my shower curtain. Yes that's totally werid. I've had it for YEARS. I keep

thinking about redoing my bathroom, but I don't want to get rid of this curtain.
My carpet cleaner, which is new and never been used. I begged for one

for a long time and don't think any mom should be without one. It sits in its special

designated spot, awaiting use. Its pretty isn't it?

This is my "little green" spot cleaner. I've had this for 2 years or so. I've gotten MUCH

use out of it. Its got a little brush and I have used it to shampoo the whole rooms before I got

my big shampooer above. I recently used this today as someone spilled chocolate milk on the

carpet the other day and didn't tell me. The spot came right up. I love this thing.

my favorite saying/poem

After a while, you learn the subtle differenceBetween holding a hand and chaining a soul,And you learn that love doesn’t mean leaningAnd company doesn’t mean security. And you begin to learn that kisses aren’t contracts,And presents aren’t promises,And you begin to accept your defeatsWith the grace of God, not the grief of a child, And you learn to build all your roads on todayBecause tomorrow’s ground is too uncertain for plans,And futures have a way of falling down in mid-flight. And after a while you learnThat even sunshine burns if you get too much.So you plant your own garden and decorate your own soul,Instead of waiting for someone to bring you flowers. And you learn that you really can endure …That you really are strongAnd you really do have worthAnd you learn and learn … And with every goodbye, you learn.

Rennovation

Bear with me, I"m doing a little blog rennovation lately. Haven't you ever logged into your blog and thought "ugh... something needs changing!"??? Well tonight it got to me so I"m working on my header, and some of my side bars. If I could figure out how to customize the backround I would. But seeing as I"m not smart at that type of thing, it will probably be a premade one, which isn't bad but I like different things. So those of you who follow me, just stay tuned. Happy monday!
